today's number is a personal favorite. this particular tune always managed to get the crowd bumping at the clubs. one hit wonder? definitely!! this song is about 26 years old, but still gets me going. luckily i have it on itunes and of course can get it on www.youtube.com

Here is today's selection. How I remember this song so well. Sure you all have heard it more than a jillion times, but still a classic. To me, this is one of the first successful rap songs, even though most claim that 'Sweet Emotion' by Aerosmith holds that claim, but I don't consider Aerosmith rap, even when they teamed up with Run-DMC (which I consider one of the hugest lame arse sell outs for the purpose of making a video). Anyway, this came out possibly at the very end of the 70's. Guessing it was in the summer of '79 that I remember hearing this. I hope you all enjoy and post anything that might be memorable about this song. Enjoy!!
